St. Jude Half Marathon 2011

This year, I ran my first hafl marathon! St. Jude's half marathon is such a great race, and it's a great cause. I was so motivated by the children with cancer. I was thinkinng, "Why should I complain? I can run. They are living because we support and run this race." I saw a little girl wearing a mask for her protection holding a sign that said, YOU'RE MY HERO. I could only think "I will not let her see me walk" and push through my pain to the finish, where I had a finish time of 2:47:00. I plan on running the half marathon next year, and I plan on getting a better time.
